When A&C first reached out to me, they had a vision. She actually found her wedding dress first, and it inspired her to look for a place as regal as the design.

She imagined herself standing on a mountain, with vast views over an incredible landscape. She imagined a castle, and lots of romance. When I heard that, I knew there was only one place that could capture it all: Castle Neuschwanstein and the surrounding area of Füssen, in the Bavarian Alps.

They both agreed that they wanted a variety of landscapes. Something snowy and icy, as well as fall colors, lake views, waterfalls, castles and green forests. Soon, we realized one day wasn’t enough, and they agreed it was, “Go big or go home!” So, after considering a couple timelines, we agreed two days was the better option.

I think the biggest pro of having wedding photos at Neuschwanstein castle is the surroundings. The absolute variety of this area can’t be overstated. In the same region of the German Alps, you can find multiple castles, emerald lakes, the tallest mountains in the country and a number of hidden gems like waterfalls and cute row boat rentals. It’s a paradise for hikers and sightseers alike.
