Choosing Mariah to be our elopement photographer came down to one big thing: the thought of spending the entire day with her excited us. She is a blast to spend time with. We were blown away by her ability to capture our personalities in her photographs but also make us look like complete rockstars. During our elopement we went on a few hikes, and not only was she game for them, she led out! She is incredibly prepared for any and all weather, is up for an adventure, and is mindful of leaving no trace. She will probably have researched your location better than you have, and seamlessly move from one place to the next.

Mariah pulled off our dream elopement in the Dolomites this January. She helped us coordinate everything from the helicopter ride and flowers to having enough warm layers - and we ended up with an unforgettable experience! We highly recommend not only booking Mariah as your photographer, but also taking advantage of the off-season winter backdrop. Her knowledge of the area allowed us to plan the perfect spot and adapt to weather conditions. The pictures turned out to be everything we were hoping for and more!

I think the only flaw is that if you’re an indecisive person you’ll struggle choosing your photos because they are all so amazing (but let’s be honest, that’s really not a flaw).
Overall the photos told a beautiful story. I may be biased, but we had 2 amazing days of coverage. Mariah was amazing for our whole elopement, she makes everything so easy! It never felt awkward or pressured to do anything we didn’t want to do.

When we first met Mariah and saw her work, we were immediately sold. She was personable and funny with clearly a heart full of passion and drive for the work she does.
We did a two day elopement in the Dolomites and brought our closest friends to celebrate with us. We were met with rain, hail, and snow throughout that first day. Our plans for a vow ceremony at Seceda and sunset picnic in Passo Gardena had to take a turn. We were discouraged, but Mariah kept the mood so positive. She was flexible and pivoted as the weather went from bad to worse. Her commitment to her clients is so strong. She was determined to do everything she could to provide us with the experience she promised, and she came through in tenfold.

7-9am

Getting Ready 

Wake up and get ready slowly in a cozy mountain chalet, where an intentional start to the day leads to an intimate first look.

9-12pm

Location 1

Discover easy access trails in the morning light, exploring together by foot, by cable car or by jeep taxi. All abilities welcome!

2-5pm

Location 2

After a lunch break, we continue to a second location to prepare for your vows. Relax, take your time and enjoy the area.

5-6pm

End the day with your commitment ceremony as the sun sets. Bust out the headlamps and stick around for star shots!

frequently asked questions

I've got your back, no matter what the FAQ happens

A good place to start is to ask yourselves what kind of experience you want to have. Most adventure based elopements require 3-4 hours of activity on top of the commitment ceremony, getting ready and any drive time. I recommend a full day. I do not do sessions shorter than 4 hours for elopements, and 2 hours for non-wedding sessions. 

Although it doesn't sound ideal, moody weather can make for some seriously incredible photos, and clouds are actually wonderful for soft, even lighting. Inclement weather is another thing, however, especially in the mountains. Outdoor elopements need backup plans and plenty of flexibility--so don't worry, this will all be built into your timeline planning!

YES! And for so many reasons - one, trails and locations are almost ALWAYS quieter on weekdays. You can almost guarantee yourself more seclusion by choosing days like Tuesday or Wednesday. Plus, hotels and other services may offer discounted rates during the week. Many places in Europe have surge prices on busy weekends!

Include it. Eloping doesn't mean giving up the important traditions that come with big weddings. Have a ring bearer, a first dance, anything you want!

What's stopping you? It ain't me! The wonderful thing about elopements is this: there are no rules! You get to decide what is most important to you, and what to do about it. 2-25 guests is ideal.

The short answer is maybe. The honest answer is: it's complicated. Many documents will not be available in English. The easiest thing is to complete the legal paperwork in your home country and have a meaningful vow and commitment ceremony in your elopement location. Most couples do this!

No way - not if you don't want to!! I love crazy challenging hikes and adventures, but it's not for everyone and that's 1,000% fine. I'm happy to help you find activities that work best for your comfort levels! Always be aware of and respect your boundaries :) I'm listening!

Yes. I offer elopement highlight reels and 2-5 minute movies. Alongside photography, I capture a combination of 4k video, high quality audio and vintage Super 8 footage to create an emotional, home-movie style story of your entire day.

No. I am legally obligated to collect VAT sales tax based on the nature and location of my business, thus, in Austria: § 1 (1) Z 1 UStG / § 3a (7) UStG. You are able to claim back the VAT for *goods* purchased from EU based businesses, but not on services provided or performed. As an example, this is similar to services provided by hotels, restaurants or tour guides during your trip. There is simply no rule for a refund in the law for services. Finally, the liability to provide VAT refunds do not concern the business owner (myself), but yourself as the consumer; you are free to apply for a refund at the border or at special intermediaries who are handling the process of a refund when you leave the EU. It is then at their discretion.
