Having your wedding photos at Burg Eltz means a 100% chance of the most romantic, dreamy, fairy tale vibes imaginable. This is a location for wedding photos that would make even Cinderella jealous.
Burg Eltz is hands down one of the most charming castles Germany has to offer. If you’re looking for the perfect romantic backdrop for wedding or engagement photos: here it is. Castle Eltz is tucked away in a lush, green valley surrounded by trees and silence. It’s also high on my list of the Best Places to Get Married or Elope in Germany.
If you wake up for sunrise to do wedding photos at Burg Eltz, you will have the place mostly to yourself. Without a doubt, that’s what I recommend doing as the place fills up with noisy tourists quickly. Funny enough, you actually won’t find many locals here. I’ve lived in Germany for 3 years, and most Germans don’t know the place exists!
It’s definitely a place for tourists. Due to that, after 8 or 9 in the morning you’ll want to be making your way out of the valley and headed for breakfast mimosas! Spend the day in neighboring Koblenz walking along the Rhine river and enjoying a Bier Garten (or two).
But in the meantime, while the crowds are still sleeping, Burg eltz is an absolute dream itself…
Fun Fact: burg Eltz is 850 years old and has been in the Eltz family for over 33 generations. Thirty THREE!
Love is definitely in the details.
…and they lived happily ever after.
